Continually overlooked when former head coach Tom Maher was in charge, Jones will be hoping for a clean slate under Coach Jennings and will try to put herself forward as one of the leading contenders to pull the strings in the backcourt to make up for the disappointment of missing EuroBasket Women 2011 and the Olympics. After  a successful career with Oral Roberts University where she played with national team colleague Dominique Allen, the guard has completed her first season as a professional with Cluj Napoca in the Romanian League. She is an imaginative player and her creativity was emphasised when selected for the 3x3 World Championship. She hails from a basketball family with both her brothers playing professionally and her father a coach in England. Jones has been working hard on the the defensive side of her game in recent times to ensure she is ready for the elite level.
